In the case of recovery from serious illness, with that Korban the person who recovered would bring a meal offering. In order to consume this they invited their friends. - Thus the Seudat Ha'ador (lit: Meal of thanks giving).

Naomi suffered serious health problems after pneumonia in August 2002 which lead to the discovery of a growth in her right lung. Half of that lung was removed in Feburary 2003. BUT she got infection in the lungs and pneumonia. The culmination of this occurred at 3am on the 1st December 2003, when she stopped breathing. Devorah called the ambulance.
The following 2 days Naomi was on life support, and the doctors gave her little chance of survival.
On the 3rd day they said that she might survive but would not recover. BUT by day 9 the life support was removed and on day 10 Naomi was moved from intensive care to a normal ward.
Naomi finally came home on 24th December 2003.  all together she spent almost 5 months in hospital. 6 months later Naomi was going to the gymn and power walking along the beach front.

Many people assisted with her recovery. Friends and members of the community set up prayer groups reciting tehillim (Psalms) for her recovery.
