When Tom died Devorah wrote a poem to him:-
Poem to my Zaida from Devorah age 10

"When Zaida was dying, I wrote him a letter so he would feel better,
Zaida wrote back to me this was the last letter it had to be,
To New Zealand my father went, with him a letter for my Zaida I sent,
I rushed to my bed when I heard my Zaida had died,
Thinking of all the good things he did for me I cried and cried,
He taught me how to be a good maiden, I hope he goes straight to Gan Eden,
He taught me how to play chess and helped me study for all my tests,
This Zaida was the best,
I loved him very much and now he is with Hashem I trust,
To my kind Zaida I will always miss, I wish I could give him just one last kiss.
Your ever loving grand daughter Devorah (aged 10)
